Still going strong
Monday, January 30, 2006
We're still on the top 10 chart for most downloaded industrial-electronic band. We slipped to number 6, but at least our first week wasn't a one-hit wonder sort of affair. Check out our artist page - give us some more downloads ;).

Mars, bitches!
Sunday, January 15, 2006
Well, we made it onto CNET's music.download.com! Check out our artist page on http://www.download.com/junksickfuckfest to download or stream or songs. I suppose you could check out some of those other industrial artists while you're there.

I recommend downloading our songs from there. Not only will there be more than four available (eventually), but you'll be able to rate us and the songs and write reviews. Of course, you'd never be the sort of person who would give us ratings less than 5, would you? Of course not - Pustulio commands you!

Next stop: Mars, bitches!

JSFF on MySpace
Friday, January 13, 2006
We've got an artist page on MySpace - myspace.com/junksickfuckfest! So effective today, I'm taking down the mp3s, because you'll be able to get them from MySpace and use up all their bandwidth instead. Check our new page out and send us a Friend request when you get there.

JSFF on CNET
Wednesday, January 11, 2006

Well, I just finished my submission for music.download.com. I've submitted all four songs, along with the sweet new logo (on the right). Now I've got to wait around for them to review and approve it. Hopefully, they aren't too stringent about quality control. So, crossing my fingers. If I make the cut, I'll be taking down the mp3s and linking to our band page on music.download.com. Be sure to give us good ratings and junk when/if the page goes up.

Drowning [FEMA Mix]
Tuesday, January 10, 2006
When it rains, it pours. I've posted a remix of Drowning - Drowning [FEMA Mix]. I don't exactly remember how I did some of this, but I thought it sounded pretty cool. And it's different enough that you should check it out even if you didn't like the Suffocated mix. This mix also features two verses by Gish that were supposed to be in the original version, which strangely enough, hasn't been finished yet. They'll probably be re-recorded. But I had to work with what I had, since gish never bothers to record anything. Anyhoo, I hope you'll like it. I intended it as a sort of dance mix - I know, kinda ghoulish given the subject matter. But if Skinny Puppy can play VX Gas Attack in the clubs, then maybe I can get away with it. There's something inherently goth-y about dancing to death and destruction. Again, listen to this on a system with good bass.

Corruption [Neo Mix]
Wow, it's been a while. And this certainly won't be worth the wait. I've posted a new song called Corruption [Neo Mix]. It's a fairly experimental piece where I toy around with some techno concepts. I was inspired to try this sort of approach by listening to the song "Come As You Are" by Die Warzau. I was toying around with this Lynne Cheney sample I got off whitehouse.gov. I noticed when I filtered it and slowed it down, she sounded almost sick and polluted. Which is pretty appropriate, IMO. So I collected a few miscellaneous bits of obscure right-wing noise and twisted the hell out of it to make the ambient effects that you hear. Anyway, it's a pretty weird song, but I like it. Play it on a system with good bass.
